1- The Creation of the Ojas:

According to Ayurveda, the human body is made up of 7 important tissues or dhatus. One of them is called the Rasa Dhatu. Rasa also called serum, is the white part of the blood. There is a sexual fluid which comes from rasa is called as sukra dhatu. This process takes hardly a month to get formed. Sukra dhatu is the purest of rasa and this rasa in concentrated form is called the Ojas. This is a new life basis.

2- Apana Vayu:

Apana Vayu is a force that harms sexual energy. Human body comprises 5 winds and this force is referred to it. This force regulates the menstruation, reproduction, and orgasm according to some studies. This is should be in healthy movement.

3- Is Orgasm All Good?

We are familiar with the benefits of orgasm like releasing stress, boosting immunity, production of oxytocin and developing a good relationship with a partner. But, Ayurveda sees another part of this fact too. This can be harmful under some circumstances. The reason behind is the orgasm produces Vata dosha and this leads to a depleting effect on us.

4- Sex Tips:

Ayurveda suggests doing sex on the day before 10 am instead of night or evening. This is because of the Vata Dosha formed in our body during intercourse. Ayurveda suggests having sex in winter or early spring. During summers and fall, the effect of Vata dosha increases.  The frequency of sex should be reduced because the heat depletes one’s energy. So, our body does not have any extra rasa to spare for sexual indulgence.

5- Ideal Frequency of Sex:

People with good health are allowed to have sex thrice to five times during spring and winter. If they do not do it, they may have ojas build that should have been ideally spared. But, in the summertime, sex should be done once or twice in a week.
